The Dark Night August 16, 2009

I’m guessing a lot of you have seen Batman Begins and The Dark Night. Batman is very intriguing. The Dark Night is completely better then Batman. The Joker is probably the best character because he was full of surprises while Batman is just trying to hurt bad guys and save the good guys. If you’ve seen Batman Begins then you know that Batman’s voice is very deep, but if thought it couldn’t get any deeper then you’re wrong. I’m surprised that Christian Bale’s throat doesn’t have permanent damage. The cast was absolutely amazing because they worked together better than any other cast in a movie I have seen and they were all very into their characters and didn’t really have that unsure look on their face like they didn’t want to do something or weren’t sure of themselves for the character. My fave scene was the one where the Joker calls into a radio station and threatens to blow-up a hospital if that guy isn’t dead and since the guy doesn’t die the Joker blows-up a hospital. Here it is:

Hugh Jackman, Ryan Pillippe, Liev Schreiber and Josh Lucas were all interested in playing the role of Harvy Dent.

Okay, so I’ve been going to see a lot of movies in the movie theater lately and I wondered if all of you people would want me to review movies that are in theater. And I would give my review, my personal likings, if the movie has a lot of cursing, the trailer and the movie poster. And you guys make sure to tell me what you want me to review, but nothing rated R because I’m not at the age requirement, yet. Does that sound good?

Cheaper by the Dozen 2 was really funny.  This time the Baker family goes on vacation to their old vacation home and Tom reunites with an old enemy. He tries to compete at a family convention. As the end of the competition, Norah goes into labor and the Murtaugh’s relationships are to strong now and they abandon their father to help the Bakers.  I love the scene where Steve Martin is water-skiing (couldn’t find).

Charlotte’s Web July 6, 2009

Charlotte’s Web is a really cute. This kids movie was based off of a best-selling children book.  Wilbur is the main character, who is a pig, raised by Fern as the runt of his litter. Fern saved him from being killed as a baby and took care of him as he grew older. When Wilbur got to big, Fern’s parents took him to live at her uncle’s farm. He then meets a spider named Charlotte who helps him when he is going to the fair to be in a competition to see who has the biggest pig. If he wins, then he will get killed and eaten. Charlotte creates these webs that say adjectives that describe Wilbur’s personality. My fave scene is at the fair (I couldn’t find the scene). I give this movie 3 stars.

Bridge to Terabithia July 2, 2009

Bridge to Terabithia Movie Poster

Bridge to Terabithia was a really good, heart-touching movie. I loved the story and how everything is kind of settled at the end. Annasophia Robb and Josh Hutcherson worked really well together for this project. The director, Gabor Csupo, envisioned this world of fantasy perfectly and portrayed it onto the big screen fabulously. I thought the actors really pulled off the characters described from the book into the movie really well.I loved the scene where Jess gets back from the museum and Leslie is dead because it kind of teaches you a lesson on friendship and caring and that everyone should always be included (the scene is below). This movie is so amazing that everybody should see it. I give this movie 3.5 stars for my rating.

Twilight June 29, 2009

Twilight Movie Poster

I am a TOTAL  Twilight fan, so sorry if I go over the top. Twilight is amazing and the cast was chosen was fantastic. Catherine Hardwicke was perfect for this first movie. As you might know Kristen Stewart is my fave actress and that is how I found out about Twilight and then got obsessed (thank you Kristen Stewart). This vampire movie phenomenon is giving vampires a new light because the Cullens (the main vampire coven family) only feast on animals and not on humans unlike most vampires. But the one vampire who is single, Edward Cullen, falls in love with the new girl in school, Bella Swan. He has a special ability,  which is reading minds (and his “sister” and “brother”, Alice in Jasper also have powers) and Bella is the only person who he cannot read into her mind and he has a special craving for her blood as well. They meet some nomads on their first “date” and one of them starts hunting Bella when she is run south to get away from him. She meets him in her old ballet studio when he pretends to threaten her mother and Edward saves the day and saves Bella. I give this movie a deserved 5 stars. Here is my fave scene:

The cast did most of their own stunts and that is what makes this film really special because you get to see them most of the time but there are scenes used with the stunt doubles.

In The Land of Women

In the Land of Women was an amazing movie. I found it by looking up my fave actress, Kristen Stewart. It was a heart-warming movie that was just plain good. The plot was really simple, but the actors really made this movie pop out. Adam Broody, Kristen Stewart and Meg Ryan all worked together marvelously together. This movie is all about relationship problems, but not just dating problems, but mother daughter and wife and husband problems. The actors looked like they all took their roles seriously and portrayed them perfectly. I loved the scene where they are in Adam Broody’s character’s bedroom and he is giving Kristen Stewart’s character advice(you can watch it below, but I couldn’t find the greatest quality). Jon Kasdan was a great directer and a perfect choice for In the Land of Women.  I give it 4.5 stars.
